- good speeds (i7+16GB of RAM + NVMe (upgraded it to 1TB NVMe)

- means: when the sun is beating down on the device, text is still readable (a bit like with the kindle devices)
- cons: if the user wears polarizing sunglases, the visibility goes down to zero (black)
- the case does not heat up as bad as with the black thinkpads
- battery runtime aprox 5h (heavily depending on the CPU usage as the i7 is no ARM (faster per core, but also needs way more Watts)
- keyboard: is okay imho thinkpad better

The only “officially” supported by TUXEDO GNU Linux distribution is Ubuntu.
But other distros should just work. (tested Debian (of course 🙂

So far so good. While having many neat innovative features, there is still some work to be done to catch up with “the gorilla in the room” Lenovo, HP and Dell.
Neat but the tomte-package did not install properly and kept trying to re-install (error logs are provided at the very end of this article)
Don’t even try to mess with the tuxedo boot dongles, just 1:1 copy a GNU Linux iso to stick and boot setup from there.
Because it would not install properly under Ubuntu 22.04 LTS, after a few days went: (no negative sideffects so far)
apt update apt --purge remove tuxedo-tomte # if the user needs anything from snap (like the resource intensive slack bloatware) # don't mess up the host system and just run it inside a kvm vm apt --purge remove snap
