2. +decentral
3. -written in Ruby on Rails (unfortunately = SLOOOOOOOOW but not as slow as Mastodon X-D) (twitter used to be PHP but it migrated to  Java for scalability-performance reasons, Facebook is (probably) still largely (very very optimized) PHP :D)

Getting started with Diaspora can be “confusing” as there is not one single place to signup, but rather the user has to find a server that still accept signup-registration (no joke!) but then it is like twitter X-D (but slower)

and what is also strange: not all pods will have the same content (no content sharing? X-D)

so content with hashtag “cosmos” will look differently here than what can be found here which kind of defeats the purpose of decentralized X-D

The Nostr social network is build much like twitter, where you can create posts ( like tweets), like posts, follow someone or unfollow them, retweet/repost. Normally the term ‘post’ or ‘note’ is used to refer to creating a post on the nostr social network.

The problem with Twitter

• Twitter has ads;
• Twitter uses bizarre techniques to keep you addicted;
• Twitter doesn’t show an actual historical feed from people you follow;
• Twitter bans people;
• Twitter shadowbans people;
• Twitter has a lot of spam.
