Update: USB 3.0 can interfere with WiFi
“USB 3.0 has a 5Gbps signaling rate.
The USB 3.0 specification requires USB 3.0 data to be scrambled and it requires spread-spectrum.
The noise from USB 3.0 data spectrum can be high (in the 2.4-2.5GHz range).
This noise can radiate from the USB 3.0 connector on a device (such as a PC or Router), the USB 3.0 connector on the peripheral device or the USB 3.0 [port].
If the antenna of a wireless device operating in this band is placed close to any of the USB 3.0 radiation channels, it can pick up the broadband noise.
The broadband noise emitted from a USB 3.0 device can affect the SNR (signal-to-noise ratio) and limit the sensitivity of any wireless receiver whose antenna is physically located close to the USB 3.0 device.
This may result in a drop in throughput on the wireless link.”

for example people reported problems with wifi when connecting an USB 3.0 Hub to their laptops.
possible solution: do not use Wifi USB Adapters at USB 3.0 Ports, maybe even go as far as use a TP-LINK Wifi router placed some distance apart, with good radio path (no concrete walls) from your workstation/PC as external Wifi “adapter”… works pretty good.

“Late adopters” stick to known procedures, technologies and standards, as long as possible, 1) to avoid waste 2) if they don’t see how “the new standard” adds a lot of value to their lifes.
With ever changing standards or shipping less for the same price (it is a known fact) vendors simply want to make more money aka “sell more stuff” aka make users throw away a lot of stuff aka a lot of resources go to waste. (only 20% of e-Trash is recycled?)

Of course to achieve a more “circular electronic value chain” the products must be build in a way, so it can be easily recycled, meaning: it should be possible to relatively easy separate the different materials used.
The GOOGLE EXPERT on USB: https://plus.google.com/collection/0Vdov (he tests a lot of cables and adapters), with the nexus 6p the long avoided Micro-USB USB-C mess has finally arrived… and it is terrible because i don’t want to throw away/replace all the Micro-USB chargers (e.g. in the car).
i just hope USB-C is THE LAST USB plug form factor that will exist in the next 10 billion years.
finding an Micro-USB to USB-C Adapter (so you can keep your chargers) is tricky, because they seem to either support Huawei/Nexus or Samsung but not both. ( i hope i am wrong, look for keyword Samsung in this quality product… can not be found)
Just assume your friends have Samsung and you have Huawei, and pray that when they visit you, those adapters and chargers will not kill any circuits ?)

- all chargers should be like this (Type-A)
- all devices should ship with Type-A to Type-X cables, so now you can use the same charger with different cables to charge the different devices with different plugs…

of course by not playing nice, stubornly shipping the one-button mouse, Apple is just as stuborn when it comes to being compatible with the rest of the world in terms of device charging and connectivity.
