it is not super trivial and even AI struggles X-D
here is what works: (tested on QNAP with Debian13 :D)
- git clone https://github.com/bkram/qnapdisplay
- # alternatively (backup
- wget http://dwaves.de/scripts/qnapdisplay.tar.gz
- tar fxvz qnapdisplay.tar.gz
- cd qnapdisplay
- wget https://dwaves.de/scripts/qnap_lcd.py.txt
- mv qnap_lcd.py.txt qnap_lcd.py
- python3 qnap_lcd.py
- it now should output on the front LCD display of the QNAP
- 1. current date time
- 2. uptime in days
- 3. ip of all interfaces active
- 4. disk usage of /dev/md0
- enable the script to autostart
