the similarity is startling. They could be clones! (they probably are)

except: D-Link is from Taiwan (still not China) and TP-Link is from Shenzen China

bought recently 3x of the TP-Link 108 and can confirm they are doing a great job! (speed test was pretty good and also power consumption is very low (5.4Watts max))

As replacement for older Netgear G5606 switches.

(ask me again in one year if they last long/quality/reliable)

Unfortunately believe that Netgear will not last long in this competition. Cisco might last longer.

here is the D-Link:übertragung-Non-Blocking-Architektur-Metallgehäuse/dp/B000BCC0LO/

says it even uses as little as 2.8 Watts

here is the TP-Link:äuse-Datenverkehr-IGMP-Snooping/dp/B01EXDG2MO/

10€ less than than D-Link.

not funny given the political circumstances:

Taiwan buys weapons from US worth $2.2 Billion

“The move would be Washington’s first big-ticket military sale to the democratically-governed island in decades, and comes amid deteriorating ties between the US and China, the world’s two largest economies that have been locked in an acrimonious trade war.

It risks further heightening tensions with China, which considers Taiwan a breakaway province and has not ruled out the use of force to bring the self-ruled island under its control.”
