Is there enough money for projects that make sense?
Of course if i am talking “sense” i need to define the context.
From the perspective of a bank – a credit that is not payed back – does not make sense – no matter how good the cause/idea.
So crowdfunding skips the banks and goes straight to the customer and asks the customer: do you want this product?
And thousands of people said “YES i want to have a card game with exploding cats for 40USD” – so 219,382 backers raised $8,782,571 USD for Elan Lee to make this happen. Does this make sense?
