this happens if ipv6 support is globally disabled, via grub config.
debian ping6 socket: Address family not supported by protocol
[cc lang=”bash” escaped=”true” width=”600″]
vim /etc/default/grub
# comment out the following line:
# GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX=”ipv6.disable=1″
# then run:
update-grub2
# to generate new /boot/grub/grub.cfg
[/cc]
on older debian / grub1
„wheezy“? „squeeze“?
