    • “Intel Xeon E5540/E5550 CPU and the AMD Radeon HD4870 GPU accelerator achieved 379.2 MFLOPS/W” (src: researchgate.net) and uses 80W at 100% (that would be 160W if the server has 2x Xeon)
    • it would be a massive shitstorm and probably the end of the wcg or a scientist using wcg passed massive calculation power to NSA, CIA and Co or do Crypto mining with it (DON’T BE EVIL!)
    • here is a Green500 list of the most power efficient hardware currently (2020-11) out there
