GParted is one of the coolest open source tools available.
No matter if you want to resize/shrink/grow a partition. It even handles OSX-UTF Volumes quiet nicely.
Today i successfully resized a NTFS partition of a Windows 7 machine that was sitting right between other NTFS partitions.
it even boots on very strange hardware (just keep on hitting enter when it is asking you about what keyboard layout blablabla… you won’t need it because it is easy to use GUI program (very intuitive grafical user interface…)
you find the bootable live iso here: http://www.chip.de/downloads/GParted-Live-ISO-Image_26460627.html
As a free download.
GREAT JOB GUYS! 🙂 KEEP UP THE OPEN, TRANSPARENT, SOURCE CODE AVAILABLE STUFF! 🙂
A GIFT TO MANKIND! 🙂
WOW! Windows 7 can now resize IT’S OWN PARTITION! (unlike XP)
But i wonder how well that M$ stuff works.
I have a fresh installed Windows 7 Ultimate here… that just freezed…. shish…. i try to avoid installing expensive updates.
