IT WORKS LIKE A CHARM!
If you do not have two servers with the same hardware making pools is not possible and HA (high availability) is not available.
Having a cold stand by server is nice, but also costrly.
You can actually RESTORE ANY VM on different hardware, when it was exported as APPLIANCE.xva previously.
My first concept was to use the same NFS-NAS-Repository on two servers (it SHOULD actually work, when detatching it on server1, backing up metadata via xconsole, it should be possible to attaching it/restoring VMs from metadata again via xconsole) but this method (although supported) did not work very well with citrix xen 5.6
sometimes i could not restore all VMs (it aborted with an error)
