un-tar it into root of your fat32 usb stick and plug in before running setup.

after setup:

if you do not need wifi during setup, you can also install this after setup like this:

echo "deb http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian squeeze main non-free" >> /etc/apt/sources.list; # add non-free repo to your list of package-sources
apt-get update; # get new package definitions
apt-get install firmware-iwlwifi; # install package

now you should have the above files in

/lib/firmware
